Seasonal Shedding – Explained.
Dogs usually shed heavily in the spring as they lose their winter coat to make way for their summer fur. Shedding tends to decrease during the summer but picks up again at the end of the season as they transition to their thicker winter coat. However, if your dog spends most of their time indoors, you might notice moderate shedding throughout the year. This is because artificial lighting and indoor heating can disrupt their natural shedding cycle.
How to keep on top of excessive shedding.
While shedding is completely natural for dogs, we know it can be frustrating and challenging to manage. Keeping up with sweeping and hoovering can be a daily chore to control the loose hairs around your home. Fortunately, there are more effective ways to control your dog shedding. One of the most reliable methods is regular brushing. By brushing your dog frequently, you can remove dead or loose fur before it ends up all over your house, making it easier to keep your house clean and your pet’s coat healthy.
Which Brush should I use?
Making sure you have the right brush for your dog can be a minefield.
