Happy New Year!
From us, to you, we hope you’ve had a fantastic 2024. It’s been a fantastic year for all of us here at Bugalugs. From new product launches to new Bugalugs family members, 2024 has been packed full of fun! So, we thought we’d take this opportunity to share our favourite 2024 moments with you.
Danielle – Marketing Promotions Manager
My highlight of 2024 was attending our third Crufts show – undoubtedly the best show of the year! After months of planning and preparation, the show was a fantastic success for our entire team, making every sore foot and late night completely worth it. (Next year, however, chairs are definitely coming with us!) Of course, celebrating each evening with our wonderful Bugalugs team made the experience even better. But above all – apologies to my human team – my absolute favourite part of Crufts was meeting the countless gorgeous dogs that stopped by our stand. I was truly in my element!
Mollie – Social Media Manager
My favourite part of 2024 was Harewood DogFest. Although rainy, we had an absolute ball! Our stand was heaving on the Saturday, and we got to meet some gorgeous dogs including some of our Brand Ambassadors such as Roscoe the Doberman, Bob and Boris, and Fox Red Marcy. My favourite part of the day was being cuddled by Border Collies, Millie and Morgan. I have such a soft spot for Collies, having one myself, so meeting these two cuties was a highlight. I think the feeling was mutual judging by the number of kisses and cuddles I got from them both… or it might have been our Popcorn bites… who knows!
Ami – Head of Marketing
Oh, that’s a tough one, as there have been some fabulous moments in 2024, but I think I’d have to say that my favourite part was joining the team. I joined the Bugalugs family on the 2nd January and it’s been an epic rollercoaster since. Not everyone gets to combine their favourite job with their favourite pet! Marketing + Dogs = Dream Job! I’m also lucky enough to have an amazing bunch of people around me at Bugalugs, and I have really loved growing the Marketing Team this year. I call them my superstars. It's an absolute privilege to work with Team Bugalugs. Genuinely the nicest bunch of people you could ever meet! Currently getting my cardio in, ahead of Crufts 2025! It's going to be an epic year, I can tell already! I cannot wait!
Chelsea – Marketing Executive
My favourite part of 2024 was definitely the Halloween Live. We went live for 8 hours, it was our first LONG one. We had an absolute ball. As our TikTok regulars know, I’m not one for ‘order dancing’ but once I started, I couldn’t stop. I was dancing to the Time Warp, Thriller, Abba, we even got Dan, our Videographer involved. That quickly became a little chaotic as Dan, on that day, had 4 legs and the spares were knocking all the products from the shelves. We also ended up having a glitter fight, much to Katie and Daz’s dismay, as they were left to clean up the mess because I went to Venice the next day. Sorry guys! The Halloween Live saw us beat our TikTok shop records, that was until Black Friday, of course. It was a fab day all around and I know the team certainly burned a few calories along the way. I’m thinking of beginning a Zumba class! I’m joking, that’s Katie’s forte.
Katie – Marketing Assistant
Oooh, well my favourite moment of 2024 was most certainly getting engaged in Disney World, Florida. However, a close second would be our Tesco launch video. It was my first full day with the marketing team, and we got to go to our local Tesco store to film some professional videos for our new launch. It was so much fun, and my first chance to meet the team properly. We even bonded over a Tesco Café lunch and an ice cream on the way home. Now, the marketing team is my little work family, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
Dan – Videographer
2024 has been great for so many reasons, and although I’d love to say joining Bugalugs was the highlight, I would be lying, although, I will say it is a close second. The highlight of 2024 was becoming a Dad to my son Alfie, he’s already 6 months old and looking just as handsome as me! Just as I was starting my own family, I also joined the Bugalugs family, and they have been so welcoming and supportive as I navigate parenthood. I feel extremely lucky to be a part of this fantastic team and I can’t wait to see what next year has to bring.
Daz - TikTok Presenter and Content Creator
My favourite part of 2024 was definitely the 8-hour Live on Halloween. It was the first big live we’ve ever done, and despite some nerves, I actually think we smashed it!
We dressed up, played games, and did lots of “order dance”-ing. I couldn’t have done it without my team, and all the amazing viewers who constantly support us!
As we step into a new year, we at Bugalugs want to thank you for trusting us to care for your pets. Your support means the world to us, and we’re so grateful to be part of your dog’s health and happiness journey. Here’s to a year filled with wagging tails!
