August Round-Up!
Wow, it’s been a busy month. Max sure likes to keep us on our toes. If you’re following us on social media, you’ll be aware of what we’ve been up to, but to recap we thought we’d put together an August Round-Up Blog and keep you up to date with everything Bugalugs.
Tesco Range
We kicked off the month with exciting news—our launch in Tesco! The team visited our local Tesco in Carlisle to film some engaging content and even got a few Tesco employees involved. Alongside the Tesco launch, we introduced a brand-new, exclusive product that's already a hit: our Raspberry and Lemon No Rinse Shampoo. This shampoo not only smells incredible but also cleans the coat without needing water. Plus, it helps to detangle and condition the coat, making it ideal for long-haired and curly-haired breeds.
International Cat Day
At Bugalugs, we adore cats, and what better occasion to pamper your feline friend than International Cat Day? To make the day extra special, we offered our loyal customers a discount on our cat range, which was a huge hit! We received some wonderful messages from customers telling us how much better their cats smelled thanks to Bugalugs’ products. Hearing this feedback made our day and kept us smiling all week long! Some of the best-selling products from our International Cat Day promotion was the Plaque Remover, No Rinse Cat Shampoo & Conditioner, and the Salmon Oil.
Spoil your Dog Day
Isn’t every day, Spoil Your Dog Day? It sure is at Bugalugs HQ, but to celebrate the official day, we offered our customers some amazing discounts on our giftsets. This included our Baby Fresh Giftset, One in a Million Giftset, Essentials Giftset, our 3x250ml Shampoo Giftset, and our 4x500ml Shampoo giftset. Perfect for any birthdays, ‘gotcha’ days or Christmas, the giftsets come in a beautiful Bugalugs branded giftbox and make an incredible gift for any lucky fur-babies out there. Enzymatic Toothpaste and Dental Kits
Of course, there’s always new product launches with Bugalugs and August was no exception. August saw us introduce our Dental Kits and the new Enzymatic Toothpaste in Liver flavour. The 3 smaller dental kits contain an array of toothbrushes and toothpaste, and the 2 larger ones consist of a ‘No Brushing Kit’ which includes our Dental Solution, Dental Spray, and our Clean Teeth Gel; and our ‘Starter Kit’ which contains a Toothpaste Gel, Plaque Remover, Finger Brush, Triple Headed Toothbrush, and our Dental Solution.
Of course, we know not every pet is the same and that’s why we have introduced our Enzymatic Toothpaste. This toothpaste contains powerful enzymes to help break down plaque and tartar on the teeth. Perfect for fussier cats and dogs, this toothpaste is liver flavour making it tasty for pets. The minty scented toothpaste is also available for pawrents who prefer minty fresh kisses, so make sure you double check which toothpaste is in your basket before purchasing.

Groomers Club
Along with the new website, we have managed to develop an online portal for our grooming clients. Our exclusive Groomers Club was made especially for groomers – allowing them ultimate control over their own accounts and orders 24/7. To find out more about our Groomers Club check out the blog here.
Summer Scent Savings
As many of our customers know, we are based in the Lake District, Cumbria. What you may not know is that our summer has been a rainy one! So, to brighten our summer up, we offered customers some ‘Summer Scent discounts’, this included our shampoos and colognes in Aloe and Kiwi, Pineapple and Passion Fruit, Mango and Banana, Coconut and Lime, Raspberry and Lemon, and Papaya and Coconut scents. So now, despite the rain, every day can smell like a summery one. All these products are made with Lake District water, which is one of the softest in the UK, meaning not only will your fur-baby smell like a summer’s day, but they’ll also be kept feeling soft and clean for days after use!
International Dog Day
Every dog deserves to be celebrated and with ‘Spoil Your Dog Day’ and ‘International Dog Day’ in the same month there’s going to be some spoiled, pampered pooches out there! We’re ok with that, in fact, we encourage it! Superzoo
To round the month off, we attended Superzoo in Las Vegas to showcase some of our fantastic products across the pond. These went down a treat and we even managed to secure first place in the Pet Grooming category of the new product showcase awards. This was truly the cherry on the cake of a fantastic month. As August draws to a close, we are getting ready to attend North East Dog Festival at Kirkley Hall, so stay tuned on social media to see what we get up to.
