September Round-Up
Another busy month comes to an end, and it’s been an eventful one! September was full of action, excitement, and of course, adorable dogs! From dog shows to new product releases, here’s a quick look at everything we’ve been up to this month.
North-East Dog Show
Kicking off the month in style, we made our way to the North-East Dog Show in Newcastle, where we had the pleasure of meeting some gorgeous dogs and their pawrents. It was a gorgeous day when we arrived, and we put up our stand in the sunshine - we even had a little picnic van-side. Once the stand was up and products were out, we headed back to our hotel and had an early night ready for the festival to kick off the next morning. It was another beautiful day when we woke up and the festival-goers definitely made use of the nice weather! Saturday was super busy, and it was so nice to see so many pups enjoying the festivities - , and we had a blast chatting with pawrents about their pet’s pampering essentials. Sunday was a little cooler, but the coffee kept us going and we even missed the rain… JUST!
New Product Launches: Zingy Shampoo & Pumpkin Latte Collection
September wasn’t just about events—we also unveiled some exciting new products that are perfect for the autumn season!
Our brand-new 2 in 1 Zingy Shampoo and Conditioner hit the shelves mid-September, and it’s already a hit! With a refreshing grapefruit and orange fragrance, our shampoo thoroughly cleanses and conditions the coat, leaving dog’s coats smelling fresh for days after use. In the spirit of the upcoming Halloween season, we also re-introduced our Limited-Edition Pumpkin Latte Shampoo and Cologne. These were a hit last year and we had people messaging us on our socials to find out when it would be coming back. To save any tears, we decided to bring the Halloween Duo back for a second year and it’s been extremely popular. With its rich, warm scent, it’s the ultimate autumn treat for dogs—perfect for spooky season grooming! So far, it’s the most requested item on TikTok Shop so make sure to grab yours while it’s still available, as this spooky duo is sure to fly off the shelves.
Harewood Dog Fest
September also took us to Harewood Dog Fest in Leeds. We always love the customer facing trade shows because it means that we get to meet some of our furry friends, and Harewood Dog Fest was no exception. Once again, the weather on set-up day did not disappoint! It was a glorious sunny day and the perfect weather to be putting up our gazebos. Once the stand was set up, we headed over to our hotel ready for dinner and bed. Saturday morning came and the weather was holding! The dog lovers were out in full force and for a few hours it felt like Mollie and I were on a certain supermarket’s check out. Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about Sunday… it chucked it down. We were soaked, the dogs were soaked, and although quieter than Saturday we were surprised to see so many venturing out to the festival - , despite the weather… good old Northerners! Once we arrived back at Bugalugs HQ we decided that the gazebos were far too wet to leave until next year’s round of dog shows, so we ventured out to a laundrette and got them spick and span ready for next year’s festivals. PATS in Birmingham
As we head into October, we’re gearing up for a busy weekend at PATS in Birmingham. PATS is the biggest B2B trade show, of the year, and our sales team are excited to showcase some of our fantastic products at the event. Last year’s PATS saw us win the New Product Showcase Award with our Aloe Vera Soothing Gel, so we’re excited to see what this year holds. Bugalugs Brand Ambassador Programme
Behind the scenes, following a small announcement on the side of our stand at Crufts 2024, our team have been working hard on dotting the i's and crossing the t's on our brand-new Bugalugs Brand Ambassador programme; which officially signed-up its first members of #TeamMax in September. With over 1000 applications since the launch of our form, and more applications coming in daily, we can't say it's been a quick process and we urge anyone applying to please bear with us - we will come back to everyone - but it has definitely been enjoyable, getting to know everyone and seeing all the gorgeous content! What talent! By sharing their real-life experiences and showcasing our products, our Brand Champions and Ambassadors are helping us to build a community of Bugalugs fans, who love our products for the honest goodness they do for their pets. We have been overwhelmed by the love for Max and the Bugalugs brand and cannot get over the amazing content, enthusiasm and passion our ambassadors have already shown us. Goose is in the Hoose
Toward the end of the month, we had a very special visitor in the office! Goose, the Golden Retriever, joined us for an afternoon photoshoot, to promote our fantastic Puppy Packs, and even took time to say hello on our Friday afternoon TikTok Live. Goose, who has just turned 4 months old, came in with his Mum, Joelle, to Bugalugs HQ to shoot some promotional pictures and videos with our Grooming Essentials and Health Essentials Puppy Packs. They’re full of some of our favourite Bugalugs products and Goose did such a good job showing them off. Yes... we know... we have the best job in the world! It can be hard work though, sitting on the floor being licked by puppies... honest!
As a big ‘thank you’ Goose got to take home both Puppy Packs, as well as a Baby Fresh Foam Comb, which he loved playing fetch with! Keep an eye out on our socials for this bundle of cuteness.
Wrapping Up September
September has been a whirlwind of events, new products, and meeting fellow dog -lovers/pawrents. As we move into October, we’re excited to keep the momentum going with more fantastic products and events on the horizon. Including our 8-hour TikTok Live sessions which will see the team partaking in games, discussions and freebies… Speaking of TikTok it has become pretty competitive, as Katie, Daz, and myself (Chelsea), are competing for a real Pumpkin Latte from our manager Ami, so the stakes are high!
